 has served the local church for over a decade and now serves as Senior Pastor of First Baptist of North Augusta. He holds a Doctorate of Ministry degree with an emphasis in Christian Apologetics and currently teaches adjunctly at Fruitland Baptist Bible College in North Carolina.

Stephen is a writer and author of the book "PROVE IT-Defend the Christian Faith". He is also a contributing author for the 2016 Nelson's Annual Preacher's Sourcebook and a regional and national speaker on Christian Apologetics and Leadership. In Summer of 2016, Stephen was accepted to the Ph.D. in Leadership Studies program at Dallas Baptist University which he is currently completing. 

Stephen lives in the Augusta, GA area with his wife, Wendy, and his two daughters, Madelyn and Sarah. His passions are spending time with his family, teaching the Word of God, making disciples, and talking to people about God’s amazing grace.

Jeff is a gifted and dynamic leader of worship. He bases his leadership on John 4:23 where the Scriptures say, ”the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him.” He and his wife, Jody, have been married 18 years and have 4 children: Caleb, Abby, Ella, and Ava. As a multiple GMA DOVE Award winning songwriter, Jeff is leading us to write original songs to share the stories of what God is doing at FBCNA with the world.

Raised in a Christian home, Mike  understood grace and became a Christian in the seventh grade. He was called to ministry as a sophomore in college, completing a bachelor of church music from Baylor University in 1996. He has served on church staffs in four different states and various roles since 1993. He has led, served, and trained in the areas of Christian education, church planting, missions, disaster relief, worship, and leadership. He holds many state convention and North American Mission Board certifications.

Mike graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Education in 2006 and a Master of Arts in Missiology in 2007. He recently earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and he is in the second year of a Ph.D. in Leadership program from Dallas Baptist University.

Mike is husband to Sharon and father to Wei. Together, they enjoy traveling, hiking and dining.

Patrick serves as our Pastor of Administration.  Raised in Spartanburg, SC, Patrick attended Clemson University, where he met his best friend and now wife Keri.  They were married in June of 2005.

Patrick was called into full-time ministry in 2006.  Afterwards, he and Keri moved to Wake Forest, where he graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry in 2010.  Patrick and Keri have three children.  

Patrick enjoys spending time with his family, overlanding, camping, traveling, Clemson football, and learning new cultures.

Roy facilitates the Senior Adult ministry.  He grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is the son of Fred and Ruth Kiser of Oak Ridge and the older brother of Steve.  He is married to Becky Franklin, an R.N. from Phenix City, Alabama.

Roy is a graduate of Columbus State University, Columbus, GA, and from Southwestern Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas.

Roy came to the CSRA in July of 2009, bringing a diversity of ministry experience. Throughout more than 35 years of ministry, Roy has served churches in West Virginia, Alabama, Texas, Florida, Northern Virginia, and Georgia.  His ministry roles have included music ministry, student ministry, family ministry, and pastor. He enjoys family, golfing, racquetball, and music.

Dena recently transitioned from her role as Director of Children's Ministries after serving since 1998 and now serves as our Pastoral Care Minister.  In this new role, she will oversee all aspects of our pastoral care ministry, ensuring that the members of First Baptist Church are properly looked after during their times of need.

Dena has a BS degree in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee, but is passionate about caring for others in their time of need. Both born and raised in Greeneville, TN, Dena is married to Tim, an electrical engineer at SRS.  They have two daughters, Emily, who is a nurse and lives in Chapel Hill, NC; and Rachel, who is a nurse and lives in Savannah, GA.

Dena enjoys working with children, cooking, decorating, crafting, and just being with people.

Josh grew up in Pauline, SC, a small town in Spartanburg county. After graduating high school from Dorman, he attended Charleston Southern University. During college, Josh served as a staffer at Camp McCall and his camp name was Buhlhawgk (bull-hawg). It was at McCall that he met his wife, Tiffany, felt his call to ministry, and got married. In 2010, Tiffany and Josh moved to Fort Worth, TX where Josh attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tiffany and Josh have three children: Grace, Karla and Braddock.

Josh enjoys meeting and engaging with students, spending time with family, and running.

Our newest member to the Student Ministry team, Drew grew up across the river in Augusta, Georgia. During his sophomore year at Augusta Christian Schools, the Lord radically changed his life; Drew felt and understood that the Lord was calling him to serve the body of Christ in ministry. After graduating from Augusta Christian Schools, he pursued a BA in Youth Ministry from North Greenville University. He graduated from NGU in May of 2017, and plans to continue his education at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Master of Divinity. 

During his college years, though, Drew actively worked in different ministry settings. He worked for the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, investing in the lives of students for over five years via different camp settings; he traveled all over the southeast, hosting D-Now weekends and serving different churches and their youth; he worked as a youth intern for a local church in Greenville, South Carolina. 

To put it simply, Drew has a passion to serve students, their families, and the local church.

James recently joined our team as Children's Pastor in August, 2018. He grew up in Charlotte, NC and placed his faith in Christ in high school.

In his mid-twenties, James discovered his calling into ministry. James has been in full-time ministry since 2014. He has a passion for spiritually shaping kids and equipping parents to spiritually lead their children. James also loves to create fun and engaging environments for children to learn about Jesus Christ. He is currently a student at Southern Evangelical Seminary. 

James and his wife, Alison, have a son named Eli. James enjoys spending time with his family, learning, and developing leaders.

Dana has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina and taught public school in Aiken County for four years before joining our team.

Dana's experience as a mother of three girls helps her to assist other mothers. Dana is currently representing our church by serving as President of the South Carolina Association of Weekday Educators.

Dana oversees our Mother’s Day Out ministry for 6-week-old babies through 5-year olds, as well as our 3, 4, and 5-year old Kindergarten programs.  Our weekday program is one of the largest programs in South Carolina.

She and her husband, Paul, have three daughters, Meredith, Abby, and Emma. Dana enjoys playing tennis and working with children.

As Director of Communications, Ellen manages our media technology and communication teams and oversees the production of church publications, videos, and online platforms including social media and website.

Ellen was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina where she met and married her husband, Andrew. They have four children: Timothy (born in 2008), Jaden (born in 2010), Aubrey (born in 2012), and Charlotte (born in 2014).

Harriet is a lifelong resident of the Augusta/North Augusta area. She is one of six children and has been blessed with many nieces and nephews.

She has served in various positions on the staff of FBCNA since 1970 and has served with many wonderful staff members along the way. She believes each staff member has contributed to her walk with the Lord.

For relaxation, Harriet enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves attending sporting events, especially when her nephews are playing!

Beth joined our team as our Artist in Residence in June of 2018. While born in Pearisburg, VA, Beth Spangler has spent most of her life as a resident of Aiken, South Carolina. Obtaining a degree in Radiologic Technology from Aiken Technical College, Beth graduated Valedictorian of her class in 2007 and spent the next seven years working as an ARRT Certified Radiographer. Although Beth cherished her career as a medical professional, she felt God calling her to pursue a full-time career in the music industry. In 2013, she was signed to talent agency, AMTC (Actors, Models, & Talent for Christ), and began recording and performing her original music. 

With a new album scheduled for release this fall, Beth has spent the last three years writing and recording with Grammy award-winning songwriters and producers, touring with her band, modeling for brands such as Belk, Mink, Premier Jewelry, Key Faces Magazine, The Art of Dentistry and Lip Sense, as well as speaking at various churches and organizations across the country. 

During her time off, Beth enjoys reading, dancing, mentoring young artists, and spending time with her family and two dogs, Riley and Charlee Anne. She and her husband, Rob, have been married for 5 years and welcomed their son, Micah, in August 2018.

Sandra J. Myers, LPC, CST, CT (also known as Sandy), serves as our Staff Counselor and provides Pastoral Christian Counseling to individuals, couples, families and children. She is a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the states of Ohio and GA. In SC she is practicing as a Pastoral Counselor for CSRA church. She has many years of experience, counseling in both private and community counseling agencies. She is certified as a Christian Sex Therapist by the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists in Atlanta, Georgia and also certified as a Trauma Therapist by The Green Cross Academy in Virginia; however she is not limited to those specialties and is able to address many areas of concerns for families and individuals.

Sandy is now widowed from her husband of 48 years and living in North Augusta in a beautiful little apartment attached to her daughter and son in law’s house. She has 2 married children, 6 grandchildren, a black lab, and kitties as roommates. She is an avid horse lover, enjoys traveling and loves to read.
